It’s convenient because you can collect items from the stop while you go to catch the Bellsprout. However, if you touch the Bellsprout after spinning the stop, the items you just collected will disappear. So while it is convenient to have many Bellsprouts in one location for playing Pokémon GO, it can also be frustrating to lose out on items by catching them.
