Shiny rates have been overwhelmingly boosted for in person events. Maybe next global Go Fest is gonna have this shiny rate but clearly the last Global Go Fest was crap. They want to keep those shinies rare to make the community want to play the events because many players weren’t playing them because they already had the shinies. Unfortunately for those who said that, we all will pay.

Great video and event. To bad they couldn’t do that for the global fest. My son got 2 shinys at that event and cryed most the day because he wasn’t getting anything. Niantic only cares about the money.

You sort of had a look around and wondered out loud just where everyone was at the start of the event…most likely in the queue outside the park because the gates/security checks didn’t open until 9. Gated parks should be opened earlier or the event started later since ppl are paying for that early access or?

So if I wanted to do the in-person event in Germany, a flight would cost me starting at $1,300. And if I want to do Seattle, closer to $850. Not counting room, or transportation when I’m there. But sure, Billy, we should all make our way to one of these. Not all of us have Niantic (or YouTube followers) to pay our way. Nice elitist video rubbing in how nice it must be, though.
