When catching, I used to hold “down” on the d pad when the ball closed, then spammed the b button. It worked enough times that I did it for roughly a decade.

I never knew about trade evolutions, I had a brother, we had a link cable and would trade/battle, and 5 year old me was like damn I hope my level 60 machoke evolves soon

Actually, everyone knows that spamming the A button doesn’t do shit for aiding in the capture of Pokemon. You have to hold the Down and B buttons at the same time until the Pokemon is caught. Lol.

It’s not the A button, it’s the B button but you have to hit it at the right times or you mess it up.

I used to believe a Permeare ball was better than a Poke ball and Turning the joystick clockwise a lot would make your chances increase.I still do it to this day
