Like you can just tell that the anime writers did not care about Journeys or Ash’s last series at all. Like throughout Journeys instead of focusing on Ash we were constantly being made to watch Goh catch new Pokémon we’d never see again. Then they didn’t even show every Galar character and then ended Ash’s story in the most blatantly disrespectful way. I honestly have a huge disrespect for the anime writers at the moment for everything wrong that they did too Ash in his final years. Horizons isn’t even that good in my opinion, it’s actually boring. But their going to use this Kabu thing to get hype from the fans who didn’t get to see him in Journeys. I wouldn’t put it past them if they planned that so when the views of the next series started to go down they would just start throwing out the Galar characters they didn’t show in Journeys.

I’d rather both shows stay entirely self contained, even though the Nurse Joys may confirmed it already, I’d much rather it were a very similar, yet different universe, personally… And I hope that’s the case for every new anime generation

If Horizons is in the same universe as the rest of the generations, then it is also in the same time period. It could be very interesting to see how they play that out with former anime characters.

I understand why journeys played out the way they did. They wanted to give ash a proper closing to the anime and the goodbye he deserved. My guess is journeys will cover elements from both Gen 8 and 9. Hopefully they try not to overdo with both of them too much. But we’ll have to wait and see.

I definitely agree with your visor overall. We hardly ever got any fire type gym leaders in the anime. That’s my biggest criticisms right now. I mean we got Blaine in the kanto region, Flannery on the hoenn region and chill in the unova region. That type needs more love I think.

I LOVE BOTH JOURNEYS AND HORIZONS (but I like journeys better) at least some galar gym leaders gets screen time!
