I needed 5 gens to value non dmg attacks.

I tried buff moves sometimes before. But they was allways disappointing. Because, i boosted, obtained dmg. Did some dmg, that feeled like, that i would have did the same dmg with 2 attacks. And than was the boosted pokemon down with the next attack (from the first enemie or the one after him).

Only in gen 5 did i started to use them better, so, that the boosted pokemon survived longer

I don’t use non attacking moves unless they’re for setup. I used a Dragon Dance Gyarados once, and it was fun. Other than that, I just press the super effective move until I win.
