Shadow is definitely better for raids at the same level because only the attack stat matters in raids. But in PvP, doesn’t that 20% defense drop balance out the 20% damage buff?

Eventually when it gets it’s mega, a normal Mewtwo in it’s mega Y Evolution will ultimately be the strongest version of Mewtwo when that comes out. Nonetheless shadow mewtwo will still always be great as you can only mega evolve one Pokemon, and thus having a few shadow mewtwos to alongside with the mega will be ideal, as shadow Mewtwo will still be 2nd best when the mega comes out
