Fun fact did you know that it’s actually explained in the games that if two trainers make eye contact they must fight
Now that’s all and good if you had to register to be a trainer but that’s not the case
It turns out that if you own a pokémon you are a trainer! It doesn’t matter what your age is, it just matters if you have a pokémon
Because of this that means if the pokémon champion is walking down the road and makes eye contact with little Timmy playing with his Growlithe the champion is legally obligated to beat the ever-loving crap out of that Growlithe (No wonder pokecare is free)

Bonus fact that means becoming a pokémon trainer is not dependent on your age and it seems if you are a useless piece of crap that can’t get a pokémon the pokémon professor is forced to give you one when you turn 10

It’s just a funny bit of information that really changes the dynamic of the first episode of pokémon
Gary is bullying Ash for being late and not getting a pokémon but Gary also can’t get a pokémon and has to rely on his grandpa to give him one
