In gen 7 ou you had to use non shiny male greninja cuz of battle bond.

Another good one is in sword and shield, use shiny galar Moltres and name in “Moltres-kanto” and give it a weakness policy, plenty of sweeping potential

This falls apart in team preview, tbh, because the party icons never show shiny forms. It’s not on the level of using regular Protean Greninja just to make the opponent think you’re using Battle Bond Greninja (because Shiny Battle Bond Greninja doesn’t currently exist).
